Why travel with us?

Colombia Music Tours offers two ways to travel: private journeys built around your dates, and selected small-group departures that generally target about 12–16 travelers. In both formats, the group stays small enough for conversation, local guidance and flexible cultural experiences.

But it’s more than just a small group size. It’s our commitment to responsible travel. We prioritize experiences that uplift local musicians, artists, and small businesses. Our tours are crafted to support and celebrate the cultural heartbeat of each destination, from bustling music clubs to quiet, family-owned restaurants.

Food is part of the cultural context of a trip, but we do not force every meal into the itinerary. When meals or food experiences are included, we plan around the route and communicate significant dietary needs to suppliers in advance. Travelers should tell us about allergies or restrictions before booking.

Some departures are timed around major cultural events such as Petronio Álvarez, Feria de Cali and Barranquilla Carnival. We build those journeys around confirmed public programming, local music context and specialist guidance, and we only advertise ticketed or restricted-access experiences once they are actually secured.

Hotels are selected according to the route, group format, location and traveler needs. Whenever it makes sense operationally, we favor properties and suppliers that keep more of the travel spend connected to the destination.

The common thread is simple: music should help explain the place. We build the itinerary around that idea, whether you join a scheduled departure or ask us to design a private Colombia journey.
